Lincoln National Cemetery to honor two homeless veterans

The Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will honor two homeless veterans to be buried on Thursday, August 17.

Charles Everett Carrington served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 and Compton Pearce Loucks served in the Army from 1968 to 1971. They will be given Military Honors by the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad at 12:30 p.m.

Neither will have relatives or friends attending. The cemetery will provide pall bearers, burial flag acceptors and family for the internment.

The Dignity Memorial network asked the cemetery for to honor the veterans.
